The Saisruti Trust is involved in a number of voluntary-service activities including providing fresh drinking water to villages, eye camps to provide glasses, laser surgery and medication and dental camps.  Undertakes projects to feed the poor (Narayan Seva) and provide clothing such as sweaters and blankets takes place on a regular basis.  The Saisruti is also running a cow sanctuary giving home to abandoned and sick cows. The Trust also works to provide skills to people in rural villages to enable them to be trained in areas such as driving, tailoring, computing, cooking etc, so they may take up gainful employment to help them, their family and the villagers.

Annual Report from Sai Sruti Seva Wing

Sai Sruti wish to thank you for all your support in 2011. Through various seva projects we have brought a smile on many less fortunate people and we hope to continue this through your continued support during 2012. Some of the key achievements and successes of last year are as follows:-

We treated 687 persons through Cornea and Refractive Surgery, 439 Cataract and Glaucoma surgery, 187 persons were treated for Retinal Vascular Disease, supplied 1313 Reading Glasses and distributed medicine to 2442 persons for Eye Care related problems.

Fitted 491 Dentures and carried out 731 Tooth Extractions and treated 589 people for Gum related disease.

Carried out 5 breast cancer surgery and given medical treatments to 562 patients through Gynaecology Camps.

83 Villages were given Fresh Drinking water through Bore Well. Almost 200,000 people will now get Fresh water.

32321 children were fed through Narayan Seva and 1800 children have been given educational support.

46 Families in slum areas are given monthly food supplies.

185 Ladies passed their exams in Tailoring and further 300 students are presently attending Tailoring classes.

25 Sewing Machines were Gifted to widows who have passed their Tailoring Exam.

35 people passed their Driving Test and further 22 students are receiving driving lessons.

380 old and abandoned cows are now given full care and shelter at Sai Gau Seva Kendra in Gujarat. Almost 500 Cows were rescued from slaughtering.
